Palestinian Revolutionaries by anatolian Palestinian Revolutionaries by anatolian
Watercolour piece touched up using photoshop (due to a nasty incident involving unattended paint and a german shepherd.)
took around 30 mins, part of various works done today while i was home sick.

I like that you used the flag instead of his face C:

That picture is very old, although I did the flag because I didn't want to humanize the ideal too much.

Sorry it's been a while. I am ludicrously bad at this commenting malarkey.

Nice piece. Definitely like the foregrounding on the hand, and the clothes texturing is splendid. The sea green material on the left seems a little out of place in the colour scheme - is that intentional?

Can't even see where it was attacked by the dog - an accident which sounds like it could well have proved fatal for any artwork. Kudos to your photoshopping, perhaps :-)

the green is actually a bandana tucked into the waist of the revolutionary, green being an important colour within the arabic world, more so with muslims and such. It was mainly added to reinforce the effect, as the piece features all the typical palestinian symbols so it seemed right to put in that object.

the attack was more of an act of sabotage (i think my dog is a Mossad agent)- paint was knocked onto the top of the work by the dog, so i had to blur and erase a fair bit of the background colour to repair it.

Oh, I see. I had no idea of the significance of the colour. My apologies for my ignorance.

Your repairwork is still utterly impressive. I would not have noticed even the hint of any damage, if you had not mentioned it.

Oh no! You're sick? Feel better!

As usual, it's amazing. I like the perspective and how it's only focused to a certain degree not only on the page but the image as well. (I hope that makes sense) This may sound odd but you should be used to me by now, (heh) but I really like the leader's hands. They came out so well... perfect!
